Speaking in Tongues

This topped 100 views. Even SOPA can’t stop me from feeling special. Thank you internet!

This is the PG-13 version, which I actually like better. I had a couple more days to tighten up my flow on it which never hurts and tried it over a different beat.

This is the second song I’ve written, which I took a bit more seriously.  Once I realized I could rap, I worked on it. This is what came out. I performed this just this past Sunday before Christmas.

And not the 3rd eye reference isn’t a mistake. I go to church in Oakland with a bunch of hippies. It’s not really about a lot of Bible thumping.

Anyone can rap. If you have something to express, you can rap. Just try it and see what happens. I learned just driving around in my car with a CD of instrumentals. Don’t let anyone tell you how to do it, just figure it out for yourself. There’s a part of you that already knows how and just needs to be reminded that you can.

This is the first song I ever wrote, which for a project I did in a class I took at my church over the summer.  There’s a clip of me performing it in church back in September, but none of the instruments were on mic so that sound didn’t come out that hot.
